President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says his administration is working closely to ensure that Nigeria is re-formed for greater effeciency through inculcating equity and fairness.
The president gave this indication when he addressed AFENIFERE LEADERS at the residence of PA Reuben Fasoranti in Akure info state.
He emphasised his commitment to leading Nigeria towards economic and social prosperity.
He assured that Nigeria will survive the current economic challenges
President Tinubu affirmed that they are making concerted effort to meet the obligations of international community as well as trying to take Nigeria to greater heights.
On structural reforms president Tinubu said his task will be to ensure fiscal and true federalism.
He acknowledged the understanding and support of all Nigerians in this current economic hardship which he assured will be temporary through pervearance.
He recalled that despite reservation to step down when he was Lagos State Governor but through pervearance Lagos State emerged as the fifth largest economy in Africa .
" We cannot allow Nigeria's economy Tobe exploited. We cannot abandon our economy to Marauder's"
Responding on behalf of AFENIFERE Pa olufalaye , a former secretary to the Government of the federation commended president Tinubu for his commitment to Nigerias progress and expressed support to his administration's efforts.
The elder statesman described president Tinubu as a man of his word after returning to the place where they prayed for him when he embarked on his electionaring campaign.
Pa Fasoranti asked president Tinubu Tobe fair and courageous declaring that such traits were the Hallmark of Afenifere family.
